Twenty two pounds in twenty eight days, and I wasn’t trying. I want to tell you exactly what stopped, why it stopped, and what I put in a bag to start it again.

Hey girlie.
I’ll tell you all of it. But I want to start with the embarrassing part, because the embarrassing part is the true part.
I don’t know what’s more humiliating. That I used to cry in a towel after every shower, or that it took a Harvard research budget for me to work out why.
Either way. Here we are.
I was 23, majoring in nutritional science, surrounded by the most disciplined, type-A, kale-obsessed girls on the planet. And my body did not match my brain.
I sucked my stomach in for every photo. I undid the top button under every desk. I was flat in the morning and six months pregnant by dinner, every single day. I had bloat jeans and real jeans, and I lived in the bloat jeans.
The week before my period, forget it. Puffy face, skin breaking out on schedule, the scale up five pounds overnight like my own body was gaslighting me.
But the thing I’d have told you about last, the thing I didn’t even think counted as a symptom, was the noise.
That running commentary about food. What I’d already eaten. What I was allowed to eat next. How long until I could eat again. Doing the maths in a lecture. Doing it in the shower. Doing it lying in bed at midnight with the whole day already behind me.
Nobody had a word for it back then. I thought that was just what having a brain was like.
It is not what having a brain is like. It’s a symptom. And it turned out to be the symptom, the one everything else was hanging off.
Here’s what I learned from the inside, and it’s the reason I stopped being angry at myself.
I watched how nutrition research gets funded. By the companies selling the answer. “Clinically proven” can mean twelve people, paid for by the manufacturer, published somewhere nobody reads.
And I watched what that does to women. Your doctor says eat less, move more. Your trainer says you’re not pushing hard enough. Your app says you went over by forty seven calories. And you, lying there hungry and exhausted, decide it’s you.
It isn’t you.
About three quarters of what sits on a normal grocery shelf is ultra processed. That food is engineered to get past the signal your gut uses to tell your brain you’ve had enough. Not to weaken it. To get past it, on purpose, because a person who feels full stops buying.
Do that three times a day for twenty years and the signal stops arriving.
And when the “enough” message stops arriving, you don’t get a polite reminder. You get the noise. All day. Every day. And then you get told you have no willpower by people selling you the thing that broke it.
You didn’t choose that. It was chosen for you, by people who were paid to choose it.
This is the signal. Your gut makes it, it travels, your brain reads it as enough, and you put the fork down. You never notice it because it just happens.
Ultra processed food is built to get past it. Not to weaken it. To get past it, so you keep eating. Do that three times a day for twenty years and the signal stops arriving. What arrives instead is the noise.
Nothing here was broken. It was buried. Twelve plants, one cup before the first meal, aimed at the water, the gut, the liver and the energy at the same time. The signal starts getting through again and the noise goes quiet.
You already know where this goes, because everyone knows someone.
Fifteen years ago the first one came out. One shot a day. Then one a week. Then one that worked on two of your hormones instead of one. Now the girls on Reddit are talking about reta, which does three, which isn’t even approved yet, and which is mostly arriving from China in vials.
Four generations of peps. Fifteen years. Billions of dollars.
Sit with what all that money was spent on.
Every single one of them is a copy. A synthetic version of hormones your gut is supposed to make by itself. That isn’t me being clever, that is what they are. They are lab-built keys, cut for a lock you were born with.
And they work. Ask anyone on them what changed first and they won’t say the scale. They’ll say the noise stopped.
So nobody needs to argue about whether the science is real. The science is settled, and it cost a fortune to settle. Fifteen years and billions of dollars is not what you spend copying something that doesn’t work.
Here’s the question nobody was funded to ask.
Why did yours stop?
Because there’s no patent in that question. There’s no product at the end of it. There’s no reason for anyone with money to pay someone to find out.
Except I didn’t need anyone to pay me. I was already there.
It wasn’t that I was smart. The building was full of people smarter than me.
It was access. A lab. A budget. The ability to run a test, get a result I didn’t like, and then run it again next week. Ninety nine percent of people asking this exact question about their own body have Google and a Reddit thread. I had a functioning research setup and permission to point it at whatever I wanted.
So I pointed it at me.
Not “how do I lose weight.” That question has been answered wrong for forty years and I was tired of it. The question was: what is my gut supposed to be doing that it has stopped doing, and can I get it doing it again without a needle.
That’s the whole project. It took two years and a lot of blends that did almost nothing.
Before I tell you what I landed on, I want to say the thing most people selling you something will not say.
This is not as strong as the injection. It isn’t, and I’m not going to pretend.
The injection forces the signal. It overrides your body and takes the decision out of your hands. It works, and I’d be lying if I said otherwise.
What I made nudges your own signal back toward working. Nudging is slower. Nudging is gentler. Nudging is also twenty six dollars, arrives in the post, needs no prescription, no pharmacy, no telehealth questionnaire, no vial from someone’s Facebook page, and comes with no list of things you have to be willing to put up with.
I read what the girls report. The shedding. The nausea. The stuff nobody warns them about. I looked at what it costs every month, forever. I looked at where a lot of it is coming from.
And I decided I would rather have the slower thing I could keep doing for the rest of my life.
If you want the strongest option available and you can get it safely and afford it, go and do that. I’m not competing with it.
I went looking for the original instead of paying for a copy.
It’s a tea. Stay with me.
I know. I rolled my eyes at me too. But the checkout page doesn’t tell you what’s in it, and that is the single most common question in my DMs, so I’m going to do what they won’t.
One bag: 2,500 mg of blend · 18 mg caffeine, less than a quarter cup of coffee · 10 calories · zero sugar · peach · no senna, no laxatives, no stimulants beyond the tea itself · vegan, gluten free, non GMO · 28 tea bags inside, one a day. If you have a plant allergy, the twelve are listed above in full, which is more than the bag will tell you.
The thing I spent two years on wasn’t finding a magic plant. There isn’t one. Every single plant on that list, on its own, did close to nothing for me, and I tried them on their own because that’s the obvious thing to try first.
What worked was the combination, at specific amounts, hitting the water, the gut, the liver and the energy at the same time. That combination is mine. I landed on it, I named it, and this exact blend at these exact amounts is not sold anywhere else. Not in a shop, not on Amazon, not under a different label at a markup. If you find something with a similar plant list, it is not this, because the list was never the hard part.
One cup. Before my first meal. That’s the whole protocol.
Show me the bag ↓I changed nothing else. Same food, same stress, same inconsistent gym, same life. One cup every morning was the only variable, because I was testing it on myself and that’s how you test a thing.
And here’s the part that matters, because it’s the part that explains the number.
I wasn’t trying.
I didn’t diet. I didn’t count anything. I didn’t white-knuckle a single meal. What happened was that about four days in, the noise went quiet, and once the noise was quiet I just stopped eating past full. Not as a decision. There was no decision. The “enough” message started arriving again and I put the fork down, the way people who don’t think about this apparently do all the time.
Twenty two pounds is what happens when you stop eating past full, every day, for a month, without noticing you’re doing it.
One honest footnote, because the first week is dramatic and I’d be suspicious too. A chunk of that first stretch was water and four years of inflammation my body had been holding onto. That comes off fast. Then the actual fat started moving, slower, the normal way. But it kept moving, week after week, because the reason I’d been gaining it had stopped.
The bloat was gone inside a week. Flat in the morning and, for the first time in my adult life, still flat at dinner. The puffy face went. The week before my period stopped being a write-off. I still get cramps. It’s a tea, not a miracle. But I stopped losing a week of my life every month.
Results vary. This is what happened to me.
These came into my DMs. I asked each of them if I could share it and you can see me asking inside the screenshots.
They’re Instagram DMs. You can’t verify them, and I’m not going to pretend you can. They are also not an average. I don’t have an average to give you, because I don’t weigh forty seven thousand people, and anyone who quotes you one is making it up. Plenty of people notice nothing in the first week.
I am not a gym person. I have never been a gym person. I do not own a matching set and I am not going to tell you to find your inner athlete. These are the things I do at home, in about fifteen minutes, in whatever I’m already wearing. No equipment, no floor space, no plan. They exist because any movement helps, and because the workouts that need a sports bra, a drive and a schedule are the ones that never get done.
Real meals that keep you full for hours, which is the entire point. If the noise is quiet and then you eat something that leaves you hungry again in ninety minutes, you have undone your own morning. These are the things I eat, they take about the same effort as not cooking, and your family will eat them without a conversation.
I’m not going to put a fake dollar value on either of them. They’re digital, they cost me nothing to send you, and that is exactly why they’re free rather than a bonus I’m pretending is worth a hundred and forty six dollars. You paid twenty six dollars for a tea. These just come with it.
You’ve been trained to be, by an industry that makes money every time something doesn’t work and you decide it was your fault. Skepticism is the correct response to your own history.
So here are the questions I’d be asking. I’m answering them the way I answer them at two in the morning in my DMs, which is where I usually answer them.
I know why you’re still here. Part of you wants this to be real, and the other part is already writing the sentence.
I should just work out more. I should just eat better. I shouldn’t need a tea to fix something that’s obviously my fault.
I had that exact argument with myself for four years, holding a nutritional science degree, in a building full of the answer.
It was never a willpower problem. You have been fighting, every day, against a signal that stopped arriving, and then being told the fight was your character.
You’re allowed to try the easy thing. You’re allowed to stop white-knuckling your way to a body you like. Wanting to feel good in your own skin is not vanity, it’s about the lowest bar a person can set.
Twenty six dollars and thirty days is the entire risk, and the guarantee takes most of that away too.
The thing that costs you is another year of the same mirror, the same jeans, and the same argument at eleven at night.
I’m rooting for you.
Start my 28 days →Maya
P.S. The Harvard part matters for one boring reason. I got to test a lot of blends, and most of them were close and did nothing. The one that worked, same twelve plants, same amounts, is the one linked here, and it’s the only place it exists. They make it in small batches, so if the link still works, you’re good.
P.P.S. If you’ve been on the peps and came off, the thing people tell me is that the food noise comes back before the weight does. I can’t tell you this replaces what you were on, because it doesn’t. What I can tell you is what it is. Twelve plants, twenty six dollars, and no vial from a stranger.
